Can the MettleCI installation processes be automated/scripted?

We have been asked whether the process of installing MettleCI components in your infrastructure can be automated. While this is untested and unsupported we present below an analysis of the potential for this process.

Workbench

Windows: The NSIS-based Installation of MettleCI Workbench v1.0-1449 and above can be automated (link)

UNIX: We see no immediate reason why the rpm -based installation process (link) could not be automated.

Unit Test Harness

Parallel

Windows: The NSIS-based Installation of MettleCI Unit Test Harness v1.0-353 and above can be automated (link)

UNIX: We see no immediate reason why the rpm -based installation process (link) and the addition of the required value into the DSParams file could not be automated.

Server

all platforms: This installation process (link) is all performed in a command window/shell so should be possible to automate.

CLI

Windows: We see no immediate reason why the command window-based installation process (link) could not be automated.

UNIX: We see no immediate reason why the rpm -based installation process (link) could not be automated.
