What skills are required to use MettleCI on daily basis?

Day-to-day use of MettleCI does not require significantly different skills to regular DataStage development.

• Git operations are abstracted from Developers using the Workbench interface, so no prior knowledge of Git is required.
• Compliance rules are (generally) set up during MettleCI commissioning, which Data Migrators can assist with.  Customers who wish to create or modify Compliance rules can follow our documentation to understand the Apache Gremlin language used to specify them.
• Unit Test specifications are created automatically, and configured using a simple text-based specification using a self-explanatory YAML format.  In many cases Developers will not need to modify the unit test specifications auto-generated by MettleCI.
• Unit Test data are managed using an Excel-like interface within the MettleCI Workbench, and can be exported to, and imported from, Excel for offline editing.

In summary, most Developers will need only an hour or two's introduction to MettleCI to begin realising its productivity benefits.
