The first time you invoke MettleCI Workbench after installation you'll be presented with a setup wizard to take you through the necessary configuration steps. This page will walk you through the configuration wizard, describing what’s required at each stage.

Before using the setup wizard

Select whether you want MettleCI to generate a Public/Private key pair for you, or whether you want to supply your own. If you want to supply your own then paste the private key into the relevant field. Once you’re ready, click Next to proceed.
Work Item Management

Select the work management system you want to integrate with and click Next to provide relevant connection details. If you want to skip this step just select ‘Generic'.
In all of the following pages you can check the tooltips (ℹ) for guidance.
Support for specific system integrations

Select Generic when your work item management is not Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jira, ServiceNow, or Micro Focus ALM. Select this option if you don’t have (or don’t wish to integrate with) a work item management system. This option does not require you to specify any further details. |

If you select ServiceNow as your work item management system you’ll need to supply your endpoint URL, Client ID, and Client Secret. You’ll then need to use the Add new button to add one or more ServiceNow tables to the list of tables that will be searched by MettleCI.

Once you reach this stage you’ll be asked to review your configuration. You can click Previous to go back and amend any options you’ve entered. If you’re happy with the values entered click Submit to proceed and you’ll be taken to the MettleCI Workbench Initial Login page where you’ll be required to register your user ID with MettleCI.
