Prerequisites

Ensure your environment meets the S2PX prerequisites.

Installation without MettleCI

To install S2PX without installing MettleCI…

1. Install command shell (on either a Windows or Unix-based host). In this case there’s no need to add the DataStage Client/Engine path to MettleCI Command line configuration file.

2. Configure the CLI’s access to a MettleCI license file. This license file is supplied with your MettleCI entitlement.

3. Install the S2PX plugins into the ./plugins folder of the MettleCI Command Line Interface.

4. Create a queries folder and unzip the S2PX Asset Queries into it.

5. Create a reports folder to hold your analysis output.

Installation alongside existing MettleCI installations

1. Locate your MettleCI Command Line Interface installation directory - commonly under /opt/dm/mci on Unix-based DataStage engines.

2. Install the S2PX plugins into the ./plugins sub-folder of the MettleCI CLI.

3. Create a queries folder and unzip the S2PX Asset Queries into it.

4. Create a reports folder to hold your analysis output.
