Do we need a dedicated server to run S2PX?

No.

S2PX is, essentially, a suite of Java-based utilities which perform two primary functions:

• Analyse your existing Server Jobs to set expectations about success, roadblocks, and number of generated assets, and

• Convert your Server Jobs to Parallel assets.

These operations are achieved using two commands supplied by a single MettleCI CLI plugin, however a MettleCI installation is not required to run S2PX.
